FORGIVE AND FORGET
THey were honest enough to admit they were wrong an i hope they are willing to change and not repeat the same thing again..As for you i think you should give a second chance because havent you also messed up in life? and havent second chances been given to you? And also do not abuse the phrase forgive and FORGET most of us forget the FORGET part and bring up past shit later...let it go..if you dont then you havent forgiven in the first place...when you have an argument do not bring it up....LET IT GO...Good luck

Please,
Take heart and learn to forgive atleast he was honest enough and told you the truth other than do things behind your back and just leave with guilt. It is painful to go through it alone since you know about it but it is better he told you himself instead of hearing it from other people.Sit down with your partner and try to find out what it was that went wrong so that he endedup sleeping outside. All the best

HUNDRED TIMES
Its is written we should forgive hundred times (not exact) catch the story though,However with our lives and whats happening this so hard ..but like what lisa says, xtine, nico its right to forgive actually when one owns up to his or her infidelity him or her is sorry and its right to forgive and forget .Actualy this a good sign of respect and goes a mile during courting.

forgive and forget
Even the bible advocates for forgiveness otherwise the heavenly father wont forgive you as well.

YES
As a christian yes, you should forgive. The only thing i believe is that you don't have to continue with the relationship even after forgiving. Say for example your partner cheats on you because you are not 'good in bed' according to him/her. In this case you break up because after all you r not everything they are looking for. So its possible to forgive, break-up and move on.

Though hard but I think we should forgive them. If we dont, we may run around looking for saints or angels but may never find any.
