I have numerous tatts some i have had for a long time. you will notice your tattoes itching, welting (swealing) at different times. my advice to you, use lotion, make sure your tattoe is mosturised, due to temperature change, especially when its cold my tattoes welt alot, so the same, mosturise.. your tattoe artist should have told you this... unless you got the tatt in some back yard alley... all the best

I advise you to see a dermatologist. 7 months is a long time and it isn't normal.

This goes to all those seeking to get tattoos. Go to a qualified tattooer, first of all, (s)he will give you a quality engraving and also it will be safe. Same with body piercings and all. It is better to pay more for a quality permanent art on your skin, than to bargain and get a lackluster tattoo. Tattoos are permanent, make sure you get a good one if you want one, it should be safe. Same goes with piercings.
