congenital heart defects
Yes there is a cor-relation between the two given the type of heart defect. Most anemia related to heart defects especially left sided are due to increased semilunar pressure. As a registered nurse i would advice you to direct your questions and concerns to your pediatrician or cardiologist they are more specialized in this and will help you out. She is right certain heart defects are harmless and can be managed well without a problem.
